Pale Moon

Hi everyone, hope you're doing fine and enjoy spring as much as we do here in Switzerland. Today I want to show you a card I made with one of the newest images from ching-chou kuik's. It is 'Pale Moon' and I love it, as the most images of ching-chou. It is available on plate # 199 together with three other gorgeous images, and as a single stamp as well.

I coloured her with Distress Inks and added some accents with white acrylic paint. The papers I used is from Glitz Design. Here's a close up of the image.

Right now there are some special offers and Sales at Sweet Pea Stamps. So go to check them, you don't want to miss it!

Have a magical day!

Precious and Be My Bunny

Here's a stunning image from Conie Fong called Precious (Click here). Isn't she though? This baby is just adorable and a perfect spring or summer image. I love the sweet teddy bear she is hugging and I added a cute sentiment to the bottom that says "Friends"

The above card may be sweet and innocent, but this card below uses a super beautiful and sexy image from another Sweet Pea artist. She's from artist Anna Marine and her name is "Be My Bunny" (Click here). She is sold individually or on Plate #141 with other great holiday theme stamps. Wouldn't your partner love a fun card like this?

There such a wonderful array of stamps at Sweet Pea, check out the variety and see the great stamps on sale too. Have fun making a stamp for both the kids in your life and the adults. I know my hubby is just going to love this card!

Autumn to Spring

Hi everyone.  Today I have 2 cards to share with you the first one has an Autumn feel to it and the second one has a Spring feel to it.
I love the colors of this first one, so warm and comforting.
I used an older image by ching chou kuiks called "Spring-Moony-Night".

I used some new 6x6 papers from BoBunny.

This one reminds me of Spring.  I used one of Conie Fong's images from her very first sheet, called
"Serenity"Sheet #1/Plate #185.

Sorry my last pictures aren't that great.  I really need a better camera.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day.

Hugs:)

SHARON'S TURN TO SHARE SOME SWEETPEA LOVE

I was inspired today to use some Aqua papers I was using for another Challenge.  Liking the colours I decided to do several images in the same colour scheme and see how different I could make them.

The first stamp image I used was ©Joanne Schempp's Dusty Rose.     I chose Dusty Rose as I had already stamped it and started colouring the skin tones.  Not being sure whether I was happy with my colouring it had been left unfinished.  So after colouring several images in colours matching my papers and liking the results I decided to continue colouring this one the same!

I hope you like it and feel inspired too!  There are lots of gorgeous stamps to chose from at Sweetpea stamps so why not pop over and take a look.

If you would like to see more details on this card.  Please check out my blog here.

Don't forget to check back regularly for more inspiration from the team and watch out for my other card using the same colour scheme but so different from this one!

Best wishes and enjoy your crafting,

Connie-Molly aka the Gum Drop Gang

I couldn't resist putting Molly inside the window.
My scanner wants to blur her slightly so just
pretend she is inside looking through a pane of glass.

I stamped and colored her on white paper and cut
to fit behind the Madison Window die by Poppy Stamps.
Other dies by the same were the window box and grass strip.

I put some tiny roses and little stamens from the Wilton aisle at Michael's
among the grass in the window box.  (They looked like tiny flowers to me!)
Background is embossed with folder by
Sizzix "Branches, Swirls & Ribbons"

I sponged a light Distress color around the window
frame itself to define the edges and set it off
with a black paper frame to define it more.
Popped up the window box and felt it was finished.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out

Flower Tail Mermaid

This lovely image is called Flower Tail Mermaid drawn by Elaine Cox.  She can be found in the Spring/Easter section at Sweet Pea Stamps.

The papers are from the Basic Grey.  I just love the color combo for Spring.  I had to take a bit of artistic license on the bunny.  Now he looks like one from my childhood called "Spot" (of course).

One Sweet Challenge---

There is still time to enter our challenge for March. The challenge for March is to create a monochromatic project. So pull out those Sweet Peas and let's see what your creations! The winner will receive a $10 gift cert to the Sweet Pea Stamps store, more details here:

Surprise...First Kiss!

Here's a great Sweet Pea image from artist Conie Fong called First Kiss. I just love the look on the kid's faces because they both look a little surprised. They sure are cute though. Sweet Pea has just release new images of adorable work from this artist. Be sure to check out her work at the store (click here). This card is done in a monotone pink style using a background paper from K&Co. I die cut the background in Bazzill cardstocks and added a little bling. I frosted the edges with some chalk ink and then added some gorgeous lace that I found in a local store. I think this cute stamp is the center of the attention. You should see the super cute teddy bear stamps that Conie has designed.

Do you all remember your first kiss? I guess more importantly, which is the first kiss that you do remember? Have a crafty day today!

Sharon - Sweet Card for that Special Lady in your Life

This card was created with a Mum, Sister, Aunt, Daughter, Niece - actually any special female in your life really!

Thought I'd colour the image and do a cream on cream card.  Tried colouring a background which started OK and then I went a bit mad and absolutely hated - so had the job of cutting out the image  - thought I'd leave a border around the image which would be easier to cut out - No - didn't like that either so had to go for the trickier cut - which I think turned out OK as my eyes aren't what they should be but haven't plucked up the courage to go to the Opticians.

Next I wanted to incorporate some dies using my cricut having just got it out of the cupboard after it had been on vacation practically all the time I've had it!  Managed to download Craftroom to plot out where I wanted the dies and the sizes.  Tick - this part went to plan.

Well I played around with bits and pieces for hours and did not come up with one layout I liked which is when I gave up and went for backing papers.  Again I played around with the layout not complete happy with outcome.  Eventually after many hours I settled on the above.

I love the quote which is said to be a quote from Sophia Loren.  I also added a note with a butterfly on as a personal message.

Shy Dragon

The minute I saw this image I fell in love!  This is Shy Dragon by Lisa Victoria for Sweet Pea Stamps.

Even with stickles for shine on his wings, this image can still make a wonderful masculine card.  Done with different colors, it would be perfect for a little girl as well.  I also thing it would make a great card for a baby shower.

Ladybug

Hi dear Sweet Pea Stamps friends, today I want to show you something totally different as I usual do. I tried out a new technique. I stamped and coloured on acetate. Those beautiful images from ching-chou kuik's are perfect for this. I used 'Ladybug' here, which is available on Plate # 79 together with three other fabulous images. Ladybug is available as a single stamp as well.

I stamped the image with a black Staz'On ink pad on a sheet of acetate. Then I coloured the image on the backside with Copics! On the front side I added some little accents with a white gel pen. The background I used here is the card which was in a package of Prima flowers. I thought it would fit perfect as the background for my image, which is shining through the acetate. I abstained adding embellishments as they would take off the focus from this gorgeous image which I didn't want.

Have a magical day!

Pot of Gold Winner----

Christine A. from Canada.... Congratulations, Christine, I will be e-mailing you your gift card for $30. Enjoy!

Spring Punk and a Dragon

Meredith Dillman's Lady in Green is another beautiful new release. She was colored with Spectrum Noirs, the papers are digis I found somewhere, flowers Prima and the gears came from an used up Glue Glider cartridge that I ran a copper paint pen over.

This is Meredith Dillman's Emerald Dragon also found on the same plate. Another gorgeous image it was colored with the Spectrum Noir markers, the background was green card stock I overlaid a tattered angels stencil on and sprayed with several different mists (a couple greens and a brown that actually looked like patina copper on white paper). The rock is covered with bronze stickles.

Don't forget to check out all the wonderful new releases for this month - they are all must haves!
