Karen Middleton's Free Love

For my Sweet Pea Stamps creation this week I decided to keep things simple with a technique I love - white on white. I used Karen Middleton's Free Love digi stamp:

I love doing white on white cards, they are so striking and effective. :) I coloured the digi stamp in pale colours, using my Promarkers, and giving her some pretty pink hair:

To add texture and interest to the card, I embossed a square of cardstock using a pretty Anna Griffin embossing folder:

I die-cut my coloured image using a decorative frame and attached it using foam tape and to finish I added some layered flowers cut with my Cameo, with a white pearlised centre:

This lovely stamp is available in red rubber or digi format from the Sweet Pea Stamps store.

Weekly Inspiration with Nataliya Simpson

Happy New Year to all my Friends in the crafting world.!!!!!
It's time for another inspirational time at Sweet Pea Stamps. This adorable sleeping fairy call Walnut Fairy by Helena Reis. I love her work, and if you do too then go shopping HERE.

Image was colored with Copic, then inked all around. On the top of that i stamped  with  Perfect Medium and brush on Perfect Pearls. Die cut by Spellbinders i covered in Glitter. What can i say, i love glitter.

This gorgeous Ribbon one of many i received for Christmas from my 9 Years old Son Ivan. Isn't he awesome! I did some stitching too on this card, added more Spellbinders Dies cuts to the corners and my own flowers.
Wish yo all happy Holiday!!!!!!!!!

Bluebell Sprite by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff

I feel like that I am ready for more colors that red and green. Christmas is over, we are getting ready for 2014, and spring is just around the corner.

Today I have created a 5½” square card with the spring season in mind. I would like to introduce you to Mitzi Sato-Wiuff’s Bluebell Sprite. I have fallen in love with Mitzi’s sprites. They are so much fun to color, regardless of your medium of choice. Sweet Pea Stamps has them in rubber stamp format. Please check them out here.

You still have some time to enter our December Challenge at One Sweet Challenge. I know that there are plenty of Sweet Pea fans out there, so if you create a little piece of art using a Sweet Pea image, we would love for you to show us in our Sweet Pea Facebook group. We also have a monthly contest in our Facebook group. The prize is one digi of your choice from Sweet Pea Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you stop by every day for more Sweet Pea inspiration from the talented Design Team.

Field of Poppies from Ching-Chou Kuik

Sylvia

Hi everyone...
A new inspiration card for you to share.
I just love the art from Ching Chou Kuik.
And this time I would like to share
Fields of Poppies.
She is available as a rubber stamp and also as a digi.

I colored this one with my distress markers and distress pads.
I wanted to pop out the Poppies, so I added stickles on to it.
I used a Spellbinders frame to give her something elegant.
Behind the image I added first aid bandage...to give it a little
grunge effect.
I just love this effect... it gives so much layers to it.
In the corners I´ve used the little ones from Cheery Lynn.
The background papers are from Bo Bunny´s.

I hope you all like it, and until next time!

Kym's Weekly Post - Sunday 29/12/13

Sunday is here and Christmas is over with for yet another year.
I hope you all had a good time celebrating with your friends and family.
It is time for me to show you some Sweet Pea Stamps creations.
Here is another ornament.  I have made it for a friend to put on their tree.  I have used Valerie Wade's digital stamp but she is also available as a single rubber stamp and is called "Christmas Angel".  Isn't she a beauty??  I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens and highlighted her wings with my clear Wink of Stella pen.
I have covered an MDF tree with gesso and then a green acrylic paint.  I have then used an Aged Beautifully stamp by Sheena Douglass to add some dimension to the tree.  I have then added decorative bells, gems, pearls, glitter scrolls and twine to the tree.  This is an ornament that can come out year after year.
***********************************************
I am also showing you a birthday card I have made using an image from one of the newer designers to join Sweet Pea Stamps, Helena Reis.  I fell in love with this image and also the shape of the image.  It is called "I put a spell on you" and it is available as a digital stamp and single rubber stamp.

I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens.  I have fallen in love with the reds I got.  They seem to have so much more colour than my Promarkers.  The backing papers I have used are from Bearly Mine Designs.  I have used Christmas TraditionsDamask Delight and Just Plaids.  I have finished the card off with some raffia ribbon, gems, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiments and tissue paper flowers with brad centres.
***********************************************
Now this card I planned to add to my post for next week but then I thought it would be too late as we celebrate the arrival of the New Year in a couple of days so here it is for you now.
Here is the first card I have made since my operation.  The image I have used is from Sweet Pea Stamps and is by the artist Karen Middleton.  It is called "New Year Mouse" and is available as a digital stamp.  I think this image could be used for other occasions than just for New Year ie birthdays, anniversaries etc.  I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens.

The backing papers are from my stash.  On the bottom paper I have embossed it using a clock mask and then inked with Tim Holtz's Rusty Hinge distress ink.  I have used a Visible Image clock stamp around the image.  The card has been finished off with some fibres, peel-off sentiment and some flowers punched out of the left-over backing papers.

I would like to wish everyone that visits this blog all the very best for 2014.

Cold

Actually it's warming up a bit here from the frigid temps we were having--still in the 30's but that's a heck of a lot warmer than the single digits--but that's not what the title of this post is referring too! It's the name of this gorgeous stamp from Marlon Teunissen for Sweet Pea Stamps.

You can find Cold in digi form~ HERE and in rubber stamp form~ HERE! and also on Sheet 1, Plate 220~HERE!

I used the digi for my card. She is colored with copics and then paired with Basic Grey's Jovial papers. A few pearls and a few touches with a copic glitter pen finish the card.

Hope you stay warm where ever you are!! and have a very Merry Christmas filled with lots of magic and happiness!

To finish I added a die-cut filigree butterfly and some dots of Stickles.
